KETTY LESTER, (born Revoyda Frierson, Arkansas, 1934) is best known on both sides of the Atlantic for her 1962 top ten hit “Love Letters”. She has previously appeared on Outta Sight with her Era 45 “River Of Salt” (Era Records And West Coast Northern Soul OSCD042). Here we feature her debut disc for RCA in 1964, “Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid” coupled with her follow-up single “Please Don’t Cry Anymore”. Both sides have been continually sought after on the UK Northern Soul scene and are available here, together, for the first time.
