Motown soul artist David Ruffin had one of the finest voices of the 60s and 70s, primarily as lead singer of The Temptations. He also recorded as a solo artist across three decades, in 1979 leaving Motown to join Warner Brothers. In 1980 he released an album “Gentleman Ruffin” from which this double header was released as a single. It has become one of his most desired 45s, and has exchanged hands for £50.  “I Wanna be With You” features guest vocals by Laverna Mason. Expansion are thrilled to re-issue this single by this soul legend in all its glory.
