Trina Broussard – Inside My Love CD (Expansion)

“Inside My Love” has been one of the most sought after soul albums in a decade. While it was recorded in the late 90s for Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label via Columbia, only two singles appeared officially at the time and CD promos of the album have exchanged hands for hundreds of pounds. The album is a masterpiece of neo classic soul from the Houston, Texas native whose father played guitar for artists Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway. The Leon Ware penned title track featured on the platinum selling soundtrack “Love Jones” and in 1998 she co-wrote Aretha Franklin’s hit single “Here We Go Again”.

While Trina later recorded at album for Motown, “Inside My Love” is officially her debut album and features songwriting collaborations with Rahsaan Patterson (with whom she frequently tours), Alicia Keys, Jamey Jaz and Trey Lorenz – the cream of the current talent in American soul music circles.

In the UK interest has surrounded such songs as “Sailing” and “Losing My Mind” from the original promo which has driven demand through to this day. “It’s Not Really Christmas” is a bonus track not on the original album. – Expansion
