This 30 track, 2CD collection is compiled by one of the UK’s most prolific soul radio presenters, Tony Monson. He is also co-owner of Solar Radio and has a background in music sales as a distributor, and owner of Disc Empire the shop and record label. The songs here represent styles Tony has been associated with ranging from Disco-Boogie, to Soul, Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Funk, Afro-Latin, and House, particular songs he has favoured and felt should be recognised more widely. This compilation gives those songs a platform in Tony’s 75th year, part of purpose of this project. A celebration!
