25 LEGENDARY TRACKS from the high temple of Northern Soul WIGAN CASINO

OUTTA SIGHT presents A Touch Of Northern Soul, a trip down memory lane, or rather Station Road, Wigan.

Wigan Casino opened its doors to the first “experimental” All-Nighter in the early hours of Sunday morning, 23rd September 1973. That “experiment” was to last for eight long years and was to bring Northern Soul into every UK household via the, now legendary, Granada TV documentary about the underground dance music scene. Membership of the Casino spiraled to over 100,000, although some casual observers just wanted to own the iconic membership card and never actually visited. But for the devotees the Casino was a sanctuary, a home-from-home, and the music and camaraderie would become a lifelong obsession.

Including new-to-CD platters from Jackie Paine, Lorraine Rudolph and Ray Paige plus all-time classics courtesy of Bobby Paris, Dean Courtney and Bunny Sigler.

Includes the dynamite instrumental “Exus Trek” from the 2014 feature film Northern Soul
