PHYLLIS HYMAN was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1949 and enjoyed moderate success as a songwriter and actress. But it is as a singer that she is most fondly remembered working alongside the likes of the great Norman Connors. Here we feature both of her cherished Northern/Modern Soul anthems played on the scene as new releases in 1979/80. “You Know How To Love Me” broke the UK Top 50, peaking at No.47 in February 1980.
