Formed in New Orleans the Swiss Movement – Arthur Booker, Herbert “Super Chicken” Clifton, Ronald Williams and John Hodges – signed to RCA Records in 1971 after a move to Detroit. They released four singles and an album, ‘It’s Time For The Swiss Movement’, before a label hop to Casablanca and a final 45 for Gold Records in 1974. It was the Gold outing, “I Wish Our Love Would Last Forever”, that caught the attention of the UK Modern Soul scene and it is from this period that we present their ultimate dancer “Trying To Win Your Love”.
