Greg Perry’s ‘It Takes Heart’ has been played at Northern Soul clubs in the UK since 1981 but achieved such popularity by the mid-80s it was bootlegged, despite it having been a US R&B hit. This is its first official UK release to satisfy demand that won’t quit. The flip is Jocelyn Brown’s very first waxing, a beautifully produced two-stepper that is never played enough.
