BOB RELF (aka Bobby Garrett) enjoyed a long and prolific career as an L.A. singer/ songwriter and as one half of the duo Bob & Earl who hit the UK Top Ten in 1969 with “Harlem Shuffle”.  But a year earlier Bob cut what was to become the definitive Northern Soul record – “Blowing My Mind To Pieces”, officially reissued here for the first time in over 30 years. The song was written by Lou Barreto, who also wrote “Gone With The Wind Is My Love” for Rita and The Tiaras, and was originally released on the tiny Hollywood label Trans-American which Bob co-owned with actor/singer Aki Aleong (Senator Hidoshi in the sci-fi classic Babylon 5). -Outta Sight
