Billy Garner’s ‘I Got Some’ on the beautiful looking New Day label has long been sought after by DJ’s and producers since it was first used by  DJ Premier to create the beat for ‘B.Y.S’ in 1992.

Garner’s ‘Brand New Girl’ was found in the vaults of New Day owner Dave Hamilton and became an instant deep funk classic on its limited release on a BGP 45 ten years ago, with copies of that now fetching good money we felt it was time to give it a new lease of 7inch life. – Ace Records
