Spyder Turner – Get Down
Spyder Turner, originally born Dwight Turner in West Virginia, moved to Detroit and worked as a singer, musician and producer from the late 50s. In the 60s he recorded at MGM before joining Norman Whitfield at Whifield Records. Here he recorded two albums, “Music Web” from 1978 including the two outstanding tracks presented here. He also worked with Rose Royce during his time at Whitfield. “I’ve Been Waiting” has been in particular high demand, original copies exchanging hands for vast sums. This is the first time full length versions of both songs have been available on 7”.
