The 8th edition of “Soul Togetherness” delivers a signature mix of the year’s top modern soul floorfillers and revivals, but raises the bar with the sheer quality and depth of the collection.

From America we include Kim English (No.1 US Dance hit “It Makes A Difference”), DJ Jazzy Jeff with Raheem Devaughn on vocals (“My Soul Ain’t 4 Free”), Billy Griffin (former lead vocalist with The Miracles), Darlene McCoy (US Gospel ‘Sounds Of Blackness style smash “U-n-i-t-y”), Rena Scott (some Mtume & Lucas magic released for the first time on CD), an EXCLUSIVE track by Alicia Myers (former lead vocalist Detroit legends One Way) and Norman Hutchins (the huge gospel dance anthem “I Really Love You”).

But many of this year’s key tunes are from Europe, and in our endevour to unite some ‘World Soul’ there is brilliant new music here from Tuomo (Finland), Wahoo/Karl Frierson (Germany), Jazztronik (Japan), Mo & Grazz (Bruges), Tassell & Naturel (France), Seven (Switzerland), and Cool Million (Denmark). All tracks have been massive this year, from the uniqueness of the jazz funk flavoured “Let Love Shine” to the Incognito mix of “Beautiful – Flow”, and Northern Soul fueled “Don’t Take It Too Hard”. Check the amazing Philly strings on the Larry Gold arranged “Brother & Sister” and the George Levin mix of “Don’t Take It Personal” – Expansion
