OUTTA SIGHT presents a little taste of soul, the first in a series of unique listening experiences. Here we visit New York for a heady cocktail of rare R&B, Blues, Soul and white doo-wop that was born on the streets of the Bronx and Brooklyn. This exotic street opera captures the spirit of the musical melting pot that infused every apartment and stoop courtesy of radio WINS and Murray The K’s Blasts From The Past.
Join us on our musical journey as we go in search of these treasured 45s to the Spinning Disc on the Grand Concourse and the legendary Cousin’s record store on Fordham that even boasted its own record label. We collect the records, three-for-a-dollar, and serve them up in the Outta Sight diner (pictured above, as featured in Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas).
Enjoy a little taste of soul! – Outta Sight
