Two special sides back to back. Danny Wagner looked like a rock or country artist but delivered a superb soul album in 1968 featuring early string arrangements by Gene Page. Originally for the Imperial label, “I Lost A True Love” is an in demand heavy bass line driven Northern Soul masterpiece.
Equally impressive and never before released on 7” is “This Thing Called Love”, to this day only previously available on the 1968 rare album “The Kindred Soul Of Danny Wagner”.
