Willie Hutch recorded extensively for Motown during the 70s and 80s, “Fully Exposed” his fourth for the label, and recorded in 1973 – just ahead of his blaxploitation classic “The Mack” and “Foxy Brown” soundtracks. It features his own early version of “I Wanna Be Where You Are”, his classic song “California My Way” and hit American single “Sunshine Lady”. Willie was a singer, songwriter, arranger and producer who left behind an astonishing body of work following his passing in 2005. His co-writing credits include “I’ll Be There” for the Jackson 5 (hiw version of which also features on this album), and worked on two further movie soundtracks “The Mack” and “The Last Dragon” in additional to his now highly sought after albums for RCA, Motown and Whitfield. - Soul Brother
