The Carstairs "It Really Hurts Me Girl" is one of the Top 10 Northern Soul 45's ever, certainly one of the most beautiful songs ever to be adored on that scene, and has the distinction of being the production that opened the eyes and ears of the Northern scene in the 70's to contemporary recordings as well as more traditional 60's sounds.

Inferno launch their revamp with a nod back to their past...way back in the late 70's Inferno created a storm with the release of The Carstairs bittersweet classic "It Really Hurts Me Girl " featuring an unreleased mix by Tom Moulton.

This time around they come up with the perennially in-demand original version as released on US Red Coach backed with, incredibly, another unreleased mix by maestro Moulton that has been stuck in the tape vaults since being made at Philadelphia's Future Gold recording studio in 1973.
