From Mississippi, Margie Joseph recorded extensively through the 70s and 80s having first made her mark with “One More Chance” released for the Stax label subsidiary Volt Records in 1969. This Memphis soul classic remains one of Margie’s most sought after songs from a body of work and performances whereby she is frequently compared to Aretha Franklin. Also from 1969 is “Nobody” discovered and played out more recently on the crossover soul scene, both sides on this reissue commanding big money independently on original vinyl.
