BABY JEAN If You Wanna
MITTY COLLIER Don’t Let Her Take My Baby
BABY JEAN’s indemand R&B rarity was originally released on the Stacy label out of Chicago in September 1962. United Artists picked it up for national distribution in the same month but it failed to hit. However, it must have made an impression on Sam Cooke who 12 months later co-wrote the remarkably similar “Dance What You Wanna” which was covered by Johnnie Taylor, The Mircales, George Lee and Little Richard.
