Finally, the definitive version of “Take It On Up” on CD featuring for the first time the amazing full length version of the title track. “Take It On Up” features members of Earth Wind & Fire and is produced by the group’s Verdine White. It opens with a Bell & James song “Heaven Only Knows”, later a title track for a Teddy Pendergrass album in 1983 and includes a cover of a Keni Burke song “Tell Me Why”, previously recorded by The Stairsteps. The singles were “Take It On Up” (the extended mix released on CD here for the first time), “Happy For Love” and one of the group’s crowning glories “Got To Find My Way”, recently included on the Expansion compilation “Wonderland”.
