First Legitimate CD Release Of These Two Classic Motown Albums, Digitally Re-Mastered From The Original Master Tape

Dayton were founded in 1980 by David Shawn Sandridge. From Dayton, Ohio, components of the group for these albums were: David Shawn Sandridge: Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Synthesizer, Effects, Clavinet, Talkbox. David was an original member of the group Sun that began recording for Capitol Records in 1974. Chris Jones: Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Percussion, Clavinet. Chris was another founder member of Sun who left with David to form Magnum before becoming a permanent member of Dayton as lead singer. Kevin Hurt: Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals. Kevin played with Dayton on both these albums and their 1985 album “This Time”. He was also in the group Record Player. Rahni P. Harris Jr: Lead Vocals, Backing Vocals, Synthesizer, Mini Moog, Oberheim, Prophet Art, Clavinet, Electric Piano. Piano, Clavinet Hammond B 3 Organ, Bass, Steel Drums, Vibraphone, Vocoder, Wind Chimes, Marimba, Percussion. Rahni had already established himself in 1978 with “Six Million Steps” before teaming up with Dayton on both these albums, the 1985 album “This Time” and the group Colorblind.

Craig E. Robinson: Bass, Rhythm Guitar, Percussion, Lead and background vocals. Evan Rogers: Lead and background vocals. Evan sang with Dayton at the start of his career which including songrwiting, production and two solo albums. Jennifer Matthews: Lead and background vocals. Jennifer recorded vocals on the “Hot Fun” album including the single “Conversation”. Justin Gresham: Electric Piano, Backing Vocals: Karen Harris Chappell: Backing Vocals. Karen sang with Dayton on the album “Feel The Music” only. Michael Dunlap: Bass; Rachel Beavers: Backing Vocals. Rachel sang with Dayton on both these albums and their 1985 album “This Time”. She also appeared with David Shawn Sandridge in the group Colorblind.- Expansion
