It was an unusual release for the jazz label Milestone but Karmello does have a cool sensuous voice and her self-written song has slowly built into a monster over the past 10 years. Carla Thomas’ Kent classic was recently deleted so it HAD to be made available again. Records like this are too precious to ignore.- Ace Records
